Getting your test results
The Practice adopts a ‘no news is good news’ approach in the communication of results.
This means that you won’t hear from us if the result is normal, but we will contact you by text, phone or letter if there is anything you need to know about.
If your test results show that you need more tests or treatment, we will contact you.
Once a doctor has reviewed your test results, you can view them:
- in your NHS account (through the NHS website or NHS App)
- phone us after 3pm once sufficient time has elapsed (usually 5 working days).
Questions about your results
If you want to talk to someone about your results, fill out our online request tool and someone will be in touch.
Our reception staff are not qualified to comment on results and are only passing on a message left by the GP. However they will advise you if you need an appointment to discuss your results further.
Please note that we do have a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection. In this respect we will only give out results to the person they relate to unless that person has given prior permission for their release or if they are not capable of understanding them.
